Location Accuracy
Accurate location is essential for correct zmanim calculations. If using GPS, ensure location permissions are enabled in your browser or device settings.
Pro Tips & Best Practices
TV Display Setup:
- Enable auto-switch in Display Settings for lobby or shul displays
- Set interval to 10-15 seconds for good visibility of both views
- Use full-screen mode (F11 on most browsers) for clean display
- Consider using a dedicated device or browser tab for continuous display
Location Configuration: Set your location once and it will be remembered for all future visits. If you travel, you can easily update the location to get accurate times for your current area. The system automatically adjusts for daylight saving time.
Event Management Workflow:
- Create a weekly template of recurring events (daily minyanim, weekly shiurim)
- Use the "Copy to Next Week" feature to replicate schedules
- Update special events (guest speakers, holiday schedules) as needed
- Review and update events at the start of each month
Print Functionality: Use the print button in the header to create physical copies of daily zmanim. The page automatically formats for printing with clean black and white styling, hidden navigation controls, and professional layout.
Date Navigation: Use the previous/next day arrows to view zmanim for any date. The "Go to Today" button appears when viewing past or future dates, making it easy to return to the current day. All zmanim and events update automatically when changing dates.
Mobile vs Desktop: The zmanim display is fully responsive. On mobile devices, the layout adjusts for smaller screens while maintaining readability. On tablets and desktops, the two-column grid provides an efficient overview of all times.
Manual View Control: When auto-switch is enabled, you can still manually change views by tapping the segment buttons. This automatically pauses the auto-switch feature, giving you full control when needed.
Common Location List: The location settings include pre-configured entries for major Jewish communities worldwide including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and London. These provide accurate coordinates, elevation, and timezone information.
